Saturday Café - A Gathering for Women

Since 25th October 2025, I’ve opened up my home once a month (during the cold months) for a small, slow Saturday café morning - a space for women to connect, share, and enjoy a few of life’s good things: coffee, pastries, freshly baked sourdough, and conversation.

Each gathering will include:

  • Filter, espresso & milky coffees – all specialty

  • Homemade pastries & sourdough bread

  • The chance to shape your own sourdough to take home and bake (in a banneton, along with some of my starter)

  • Homemade lunch

This isn’t a bread-making workshop - it’s a cozy, intentional space for women to come together, chat, and connect over coffee and baking.

My kitchen is small, so we’ll keep it intimate with 4 guests max. We’ll make the most of the space, and I’ll do everything I can to make it feel smooth and welcoming.

Cost:

The price is £70, which reflects the cost of the ingredients, materials, and care that go into creating these shared moments. The price covers everything you’ll need for the day:

  • A bread proofing basket, scoringlame, and sourdoughstarter to take home

  • A relaxed breakfast, including freshly baked bread, pastries and coffee.

  • Lunch.

Each gathering is a chance to connect with like-minded women in a welcoming, nourishing space.

Upcoming Dates:
Saturday 17th October 2026
Saturday 21st November 2026
Saturday 12th December 2026

Location: South East London (nearest stations: Gipsy Hill / West Dulwich)
Time: 10:00am

Laura, Saturday Cafe Gathering 25th October

“I was thrilled to join Roxana’s first Saturday gathering in her cosy and welcoming home, while meeting new people, tasting delicious morning bakes, drinking some of the best speciality coffee prepared by Roxana, all while sharing our curiosity and passion for sourdough bread. Halfway, we gave our dough some rest and we went for an autumnal wander around the neighbourhood to return home to more treats for lunch. Roxana made sure we all leave home with a beautifully shaped dough for our next day’s bake and plenty of wholesome memories. Thank you, Roxana!”

Ruxandra, Saturday Cafe 22nd November

“Roxana created this bubble of coziness, enjoyment and overall well being in her home. You go in bare handed and come out fully loaded with bread, smiles, new connections and the sense of a day well spent. It is not just about bread (although there is plenty of that deliciousness too), it is about slow living, togetherness, warmth and laughter. I fully recommend joining (at least one) of Roxana's gatherings. Caution: can cause addiction!
Thank you Roxana, so glad we met!”
